Silver Train Keeps Chugging Along with Winning Runners

A typical weekend for Silver Train runners, an excellent winning and in the money percentage in a range from allowance to claiming from coast to coast and a bit of international thrown in to spice tings up. Seventeen Silver Train off spring sprang from the gate Friday through Sunday, one in Macau China, the rest here in North America. They ran distances from 4.5 to 8.5 furlongs on dirt, synthetic, and turf surfaces from fast to sloppy and sealed. Besides winning often, they run often, show casing Silver Train’s ability to throw winners at a range of distances and surfaces with superior soundness.

The results from seventeen starts are six wins, three places and one show for an in the money percentage of 59% coupled with an impressive winning percentage of 35%. Beautiful Sunday was our international runner winning an allowance race on a rain affected course against 11 male combatants. She is now 7 3 1 3, with 5 of these races at Santa Anita last year. Phil’s Tango was our U.S. allowance race winner going 8.32 furlongs at Penn National in a $36,000 race against 5 other rivals. He won a close race by a half a length in his 25th start getting his 7th win.

Other Silver Train weekend winners were Know When to Run at Ruidoso Downs winning by 4.5 lengths in a 4.5 furlong sprint, Rocket Train racing in Canada at Northlands Park at 6.5 furlongs winning by 2.5 lengths, Betsy Bear at River Downs winning by 4.25 lengths in a 8.32 furlong contest and Desert Train the second Canadian winner of the weekend at 6 furlongs with a 3/4 length margin. This was Desert Train’s 27th start and 8th win.

Horses finishing second were Legendary Heart, Shoo Shoo Gracie, and Useful Berry. Autumn Train was our show horse.

All in all a typical Silver Train weekend. Lot’s of competitive, versatile, repeat runners and winners.
